We are thrilled to announce we have been awarded our sixth Discover Science and Maths award. A very special thanks to Ms. Doherty and Ms. Scanlon who have worked very hard at collating all the evidence and submitting the project.

Here is some of the feedback that we received on it!

Congratulations to both teacher and learners in Dromore NS. In a very difficult year you combined home and school STEM activities to a very high standard. The presentation of your project was so clear and certainly illustrated the hard work AND enjoyment that you had with STEM – loved the lemon taster faces, the green fingers in the tunnel, your art work. A wide variety of activities in all areas was well planned and integrated with other curriculum areas. Brilliant the way you used a local amenity – the Rover Finn – to test boats, to find arachnids, to explore bridge building – aren’t you lucky to have the river so close. Excellent work Green Committee on your discussion with bus drivers about idling engines and also your findings from the clean up.
Please consider applying for the Badge of Excellence next year – a slightly different focus but well within your capabilities.
